Long Term Business Mindset.

You are running a marathon, not a 100m dash - Developing the Proper Business Mindset.

Be prepared to be in business for the long haul

The proper business mindset you must adopt for yourself is this: You must pace yourself and work with energy and enthusiasm. However, you must ALWAYS guard yourself from burnout.

When people first start out in their business or their job, they wake up in the morning with enthusiasm and joy. They jump out of bed and can't wait to get to their work routines. They see everything as an exciting endeavor.

One month, two months, later on, they lose their drive and they drag themselves to work. They drag their butts to work and moan and whine all day. As a result, their work is sub-quality and they lost their drive to move forward.

What happened?

The biggest problem is because people think that they can achieve their goals in a short while. They expect fast results and they are driven to achieve it in the short term. However, it is not easy to get fast results. People get discouraged easily because they don't see the results and they have burnt off all their resources.

A true business mindset is one where the businessman sees their work as a very large scale project with short term, mid term and long term goals.

You have to work within this timeframe and not stretch yourself too thin because it takes time to build a customer base and establish your reputation.

There are also many factors to consider because you may plan very well, but there is always one erratic variable which is the human factor. You have to allocate resources and energy in case things go wrong.

Business Lesson:

ROME IS NOT BUILT IN A DAY
