Networking to Wealth
Firstly, let us analyze why networking is crucial to climbing the ladder of success. Think back… way back… to a time when people don’t need one another to survive. During the stone age, human beings survived by doing everything themselves – the hunting, housing, breeding, cooking and defending themselves from the threat of wild animals. That was then, this is NOW. Unless you are living in the stone age, you don’t need other people in order to survive because you can do all the above by yourself. Studies show that if you learn how to deal with other people effectively, you are about 80% of the way down the road to success in any business, career, occupation or even an organization. Not only that, by learning to get along with others, you are most likely happier and a happy person is more likely to make others around him happier. But now that we are in the 21st century, people tend to specialize in what they do best and ‘outsource’ all the rest. After all, you can’t be the doctor, accountant, cab driver, restaurant manager, piano teacher and maid all at the same time. (You can try but there is no way you can be the BEST at everything…)
When it comes to business, we can’t possibly be the best at everything without breaking our backs or getting completely stressed out. That’s a fact of life. The best businesses in the world are run by people who know how to: - Build networks with the best people
- Pool the resources from these networks
- Create synergy
In a nutshell, you can accomplish more if you have a large network where you can pool your resources (internally or externally) and create synergy or value… but it all starts from networking.
